After K's sabbatical was over, we settled in to our new life with 4 littles, no more MOMS club (the Irmo group disbanded this year), no preschool, and the intention to homeschool. Our wonderful friends moved to Dallas. We had a lot of changes in the last 2 quarters of last year, and they were all much needed. We've focused more on being together as a family and we've been learning alot about discipling our children to be followers of our Lord. We want their relationship with Jesus to be more than just what they've gotten from their parents. We want them to have their own walk with HIM, where their faith is grown from their own experiences, not ours.
Anna turned 2 in October~ Her favorite character is Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street, so we gave her some Abby wings and a shirt we picked up at Sesame Place and she was her very own Fairy in Training! :)
James started having some major flareups with his excema, something we've struggled with ever since then. We also discovered that he has "reactive airway disease", otherwise known as childhood asthma. We're praying that he grows out of it sooner than later. In April we had allergy testing done, and learned that he is allergic to every kind of mold, dustmites and some fall weeds. Thankfully, there were no food allergies, other than a sensitivity to milk that we have always suspected. Unfortunately, this little romp in the leaves wasn't the best for him, although he thoro
ughly enjoyed it!
It was hard to finally get him on the right antihistimines and realize how miserable he must have been with his stuffy nose and itchy skin. He was always an quiet, thoughtful, little guy, but the meds gave him the freedom to be a happy little boy too.
Michael turned 5 in November, and we celebrated his birthday at Nana and Papa's house. Christy, Jeremy and the girls were there too, so it was really special for him! We took the pic for Nana and Papa's Christmas card~
