Today is our anniversary. I'm blown away with all the ways that God has changed us and grown us in the last 9 years. Primarily in the last 6- but that's for another post! We seem so young in these pictures, but yet somehow it doesn't seem so long ago. I thank God that He put such an amazing man in my life, one that would be gentle when he didn't understand, and firm when I need a good, swift kick in the behind. (Not that he has ever done that, just that I needed one!) He has been the most amazing father to our children, playing acting silly, and teaching them the Word of God. I love watching him with the kids. He's been more than I could have ever asked for - an awesome reminder that God has the BEST plan for us out there. We need to seek Him, and HE will bring the one He has for us. I pray that my children will be as blessed as I have been, and that they seek HIM over all else, that their future spouses will be attracted to Christ in them.

While we've been busy with the kids over the last year, we've had some time to really think about intentions. Taking the kids out of preschool, no extracurricular activities and no MOMS club has given us the time together that we really needed to get back to the basics. We still have lots of decluttering to do- too many toys and THINGS- in our house, but we're getting there. We finally made our first day trip to Charleston with the kids. We haven't been there since Michael was 6 months old, and Charleston is a special place for Kevin and me. We got engaged in The Battery, spent weekends there several times before we had children. Now our memories of The Battery are filled with the boys chasing birds, watching Ruth crawl around on the grass, Michael and Anna walking round and round a tree, and laughing about the squirrel that got away with James' fruit snack. We even had an educational moment when Anna found some egg shells under a tree. We loved sharing our special place with the amazing blessings that God has given us. Here are just a few pics from our trip Memorial Day weekend.

Our adventures have just begun!!!
