Since it has nearly been a year since our last post, I thought I'd do a little catch-up to fill in what we've been doing and where we've been! It may take a few days, but I'm committed to blogging our activities as we begin a new adventure- HOMESCHOOL! :)

So, this last year, we have added a new baby- a delightful little girl named Ruth Lily. She was named for both my grandmothers, Ruth B. and Adeline "Lily" R. She was born just a few days after Daddy's birthday, on July 7th. The other kids took her arrival in stride and are wonderful big brothers and sister! She rounds out our family to an even two boys and two girls.
The boys are awesome big brothers! In this picture, the boys are 4 and 3. They look like they know what they're doing with this baby stuff! They were SO happy to be big brothers again! I'm so glad that our children are all so close. They have easily transitioned from a family of 5 to a family of 6.

Even Anna, who was not quite 2 at the time, did very well with her new baby sister. It does a mommy's heart good to know her babies are happy together. Kevin is an amazing dad~ I'm so blessed to have a husband that loves me and our children so completely!

In Sept and October, we got to spend some great time together as Kevin had 8 weeks of Sabbatical from Intel. Intel has some great employee benefits, but this one takes the CAKE! Every 7 years, each employee can take 8 additional weeks of vacation, in a block of weeks, and we had 3 years to take them. Kevin had been with Intel for 7 years in 2006, so we used them about 2 years into that period. We visited with family, taking a little more time than usual. While we were in NJ, we went apple picking and took a two day side trip to Sesame Place. A fun, cute little amusement park with a Sesame Street theme, geared towards our little ones. The kids had a ball. Anna's favorite character is Abby Cadabby, but she still wasn't so sure of the BIG, huge ABBY!
